Duties or Responsibilities:
- The successful candidate is expected to develop a mentored research project over which they can take ownership, as well as participate in other center projects as time permits that align with their career development goals.
- As part of the post-doctoral experience, the successful candidate will also participate in weekly career development series that includes works in progress sessions, a writing group, and professional development topics such as navigating the fellow to faculty transition and job negotiation.
- Additional training including Pitt courses and short intensive courses outside the University will be encouraged and funded on a case-by-case basis.

Qualifications or Expectations:
- The successful candidate should have an MD or PhD in clinical or health psychology, sociology, health services research, or a related field and a strong background and/or interest in pain research.
- The candidate should demonstrate an academic record of excellence including successful completion of mentored research project(s).
